License Merchant Plugin
AvailableMerchant licensing as designed for ReUp-style plugin subscriptions: billing cadence, grace/suspend, license records, and checkout/order sketches. The standalone folder is planning and snippets, not a polished WordPress.org plugin. Value is the lifecycle model plus any wired code in the companion ReUp repos.
A ReUp platform buyer gets the licensing thesis and fragments to finish inside the backend they already acquired.
Why it matters
Selling plugins on P2P rails needs a license state machine. This listing is that design — useful to a ReUp acquirer, misleading if sold as a finished WP product alone.
What it does
Intended flow: plugin order → license row → cron watches `nextPaymentAt` → grace or suspend → webhook notify. Confirm what is executable vs sketched.
Operational advantage
Recurring plugin revenue needs this state machine. Buying the design beats inventing suspend/grace rules under pressure.
Build vs buy
Schema and cron logic sketches save analysis time. They do not replace a shippable plugin header and admin UI.
What makes this different
License lifecycle aimed at P2P plugin billing — unusual, and incomplete as a solo SKU.
Where this gets used
- P2P-paid plugin tiers that must turn off when payment stops
Commercial paths
- Include in a ReUp platform acquisition
- Finish as a commercial licensing module
Best buyer fit
ReUp ecosystem acquirers. Poor fit as a standalone impulse buy.
Current status
Available as a design/module listing. Do not treat the isolated folder as production billing.
Notes
No standalone WordPress plugin header in the fragment folder. Pair with ReUp Commerce / backend if the buyer wants a working system.
Key capabilities
- Plugin subscription / license record model
- Grace and suspend billing cadence (designed)
- Checkout/order hooks as sketched in companion files
